Facebook announced that it will allow most of its employees to work from their homes until the end of 2020, and that the company does not expect to reopen most of its offices before the sixth of July.

The company explained that various factors contributed to this decision, including information received from health institutions, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Johns Hopkins University, in addition to government instructions.

California, where Facebook is headquartered, has begun to gradually loosen social space restrictions, as part of a multi-stage plan announced by the state governor.

Facebook employees have been working from their homes since last March.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's CEO, announced last month that Facebook had canceled events that required the physical presence of more than 50 people as of June 2021.
