We thought it a bit outdated, and yet! Since the beginning of containment, the good old puzzle has made a resounding return. Sales have exploded in recent weeks, including a 200% increase at Ravensburger, the market leader. The puzzles are particularly popular with young adults from 20 to 30 years old, an audience which carried out almost a third of the orders during confinement. Europe 1 questioned them.

"Sometimes it's the best time of my day"
Marion embarked on a puzzle representing a savannah landscape of 1,000 pieces, which she sorts, arranges and assembles in front of her favorite show. "Every evening, I put myself there for at least 1 hour 15 minutes. Clearly, there are certain days when it's the best time of my day," she said.
A new ritual that allows the young woman to stay the course. "There is not much that progresses in our lives during this confinement. While there, say to yourself: 'today" I put 5 pieces down,' and say to myself, 'here it is progressing, at the beginning it there were only 2 pieces and that now the puzzle is almost finished ', I find it ultra-pleasant. I can check what I have done, "she says.

The dream destinations, the most bought puzzles
At the French market leader, the best sales are dream destinations, such as New York or a sandy beach for Charlotte and her sister. "We do them with 4 hands, but never at the same time," laughs the young woman.
A precaution to avoid arguments, and discover a hobby that Charlotte reserved for her grandparents. "I changed my way of thinking a bit because I discovered all its virtues. We take our time and it allows me to clear my head. Puzzle and herbal tea madness is a way of life", she has fun. The revenge of the puzzle, in short.
