"Des Racines et des Ailes" returns to France 3 this Wednesday with an issue dedicated to Normandy. Blossoming apple trees, unspoiled seaside resorts, local producers and flax production, the magazine toured the region. "A good idea for a ride for this summer and the next few weeks", summarizes the presenter Carole Gaessler, on Europe 1.

To get away without going out, or get inspired to be able to go for a walk, France 3 is broadcasting this Wednesday at 9 p.m., an issue of Racine et des Ailes devoted to Normandy, in spring. Filmed last year, before the coronavirus, the program returns with 2 hours of documentary in a "Passionate about heritage" formula. "We are going to meet the French who renovate and take care of their heritage", specifies on Europe 1 Carole Gaessler, presenter of the show but also of 19-20, on France 3.

"In this summer which is looming in the proximity and the discovery, rediscovered, of France, this may be a good idea for a ride for this summer and the coming weeks", summarizes the presenter. 

Between Earth and sea

The report took the decision to show Normandy at the beginning of spring, when the apple trees and the flax are in bloom. "I learned from this program that Normandy is the first flax producing region," says the journalist.

The documentary seeks to show the variety of landscapes in the region. "Of course Normandy is not only the land, thatched cottages it is also the coast so we will go, as we do every time, to meet Norman chefs who also allow us to meet Norman producers . " Like a strawberry producer for example who confides in her future harvest. 

Preserved seaside resorts

Through the images, spectators will be able to discover the preserved seaside resorts of Hermanville-sur-Mer or Lion-sur-Mer. Having not had the success hoped for, these cities were not taken by storm by the property developers. The old residences are intact.
