The coolest beaches on the planet
If you can only choose one destination in the Riviera, choose Tulum . It offers the most attractive of a tropical destination, but far from overcrowding. It is a fashionable refuge among celebrities , ideal for a complete disconnection with permanent views of the Caribbean Sea. The atmosphere is jungle, respectful with the environment and relaxed, but very chic . Nearby you find archaeological sites and the jungle a few meters from the coast. The heaven's Door
Translated into Spanish from the Mayan language Sian Kaan means "door to heaven". And its name does justice to what you will find. The pink beach
In Las Coloradas , near the small fishing town of Río Lagartos, there is a completely pink lake. It is located between salt flats and its color is due to a microorganism whose purple membranes give it that hue. Visually the environment is impressive and the photographs that are obtained, surprising. But you can not bathe or there are other attractions in the surroundings. The closest hotels are in Río Lagartos and are modest.
Green gold
You have to leave a few days to visit the neighboring state of Yucatan and get to know its haciendas, a symbol of a glamorous and extinct era, which brought with it the buoyant henequen cultivation industry of the late 19th century -also known as green gold-, these Portentous buildings reached thousands of hectares, had their own transportation systems and even minted coins with the family emblems of the owners.
