CultivonsNous.TV is a new thematic channel on the agricultural world launched by Edouard Bergeon, director of Au nom de la terre and farmer, and actor Guillaume Canet. His credo: discovering the agricultural world "from field to plate", with documentaries, educational videos shot by farmers and entertainment.

From field to plate! The thematic channel on the agricultural world was born last Wednesday. Its name: CultivonsNous.TV. Its editorial line: "agriculture, eating well and ecological transition". It was launched by Edouard Bergeon, farmer and director of the film Au nom de la terre , which attracted nearly 2 million spectators at the cinema last year, and sponsored by Guillaume Canet, who played the farmer in the film. . The channel, available online, was created in partnership with the Alchimie digital platform, which boasts around a hundred channels distributed among the giants Google, Amazon, Apple TV and even Bouygues and Orange.

From field to plate

"It is a channel intended, dedicated to farmers but also to 'eating well', to teaching, trying to make young people want to plant, to understand how farmers work", list Guillaume Canet, volunteer sponsor of the chain, very involved in the defense of farmers. "In this fairly important period of agribashing, you know my fairly virtuous position on agriculture, the goal is not to oppose farmers, on the contrary." 

"It is a channel that allows farmers to speak, but also to teach consumers things," explains Guillaume Canet. "Today they really have to become 'consumer' actors, what they choose to put on their plate will affect the life and sustainability of operations in France". "We want to try to make people curious, intelligent, without hysteria and dogmatism", adds Antoine Robin, director of Alchimie channels.

A subscription to CultivonsNous.TV costs 4.99 euros per month with a formula at 19.99 euros for six months. "For each subscription, one euro is donated to the Solidarité Paysans association," said the director of Alchimie channels. Part of the program is available for free, such as the sections "My life as a farmer 2.0" or short formats presented by farmers, who are filmed directly on their farms. 

Documentaries, words from farmers and entertainment

The chain promotes local or national initiatives to consume more fairly and allow decent remuneration for French producers. It also provides access to documentaries, such as  The Empire of Red Gold , on the cultivation of tomatoes, or to meet farmers with the "Explorers of taste" pellet.

The contents are chosen from the 40,000 hours of the catalog of the Alchimie channel, including in particular Arte, France Télévisions or the BBC. "The channel has been divided into several categories: 'Those who feed us', 'Peasants of the world', 'In what world do we live?', Explains Antoine Robin. "And in a week, since it is a request from our subscribers, we will launch a" Young shoot "category which will teach the agricultural world to the little ones."

In addition to documentaries on farmers' issues and information programs, the online channel also offers entertainment, notably with the documentary series: "Les conquérants du grill" . The adventures of Max Lavoie and his clan, young entrepreneurs passionate about barbecue who want to conquer Quebec. "There is another program that I love which is called ' Arrival in the countryside ' which deserves to be adapted in France," says Antoine Robin. "It is a family of five urban residents who will live for a few days on a big farm, and it all ends around the table. "
