I assure, with confidence, that the Emirates is able to achieve self-sufficiency in the field of producing vegetables, and many varieties of fruits as well, and with high quality that can compete globally, and can meet the needs of all citizens and residents, if it does not reach 100%, it is undoubtedly more than 80% It is not an exaggeration, but a fact confirmed by the reality of the agricultural sector in the country. But why did we get to this stage? What prevents us from relying on our farms for our needs of vegetables and fruits? This is what we want to know!

Legitimate questions, and their answer is not difficult, and the task is not impossible, and the goal is easy to reach, but it needs organized work, rapid government intervention, a clear strategy, and legislative and legal support for farm owners throughout the country.

This is all there is. Farmers do not want financial support, nor do they want plans, strategies, “presentations” and complex theories, which are unhelpful. It protects them from unequal competition, and they want organizational and complementary processes, and government intervention in the framework of this organization .. nothing more, nothing less!

During the past twenty years, hundreds of real estate development companies have appeared on the local scene, including semi-government, private ones, and huge and large ones, and expanded in external and internal investment, including limited and relatively small ones, all of which focused their efforts and investments in one area, at a time when we did not witness In it throughout this period the establishment of a semi-governmental agricultural development company for example, a company interested in investing in the agriculture sector internally, bringing together farm owners in one huge conglomerate, providing them with technologies, cooperating with them, shopping for their products, speaking in their name, and competing strongly in a difficult market that cannot Simple farms compete in it To achieve the profits and distribute them to the contributing farmers, to develop their potential and their farms, to achieve integration by distributing the roles to these farmers, so they do not produce what they cannot sell, and they do not compete in cultivating similar varieties, but rather complement each other, so they benefit and benefit the state, and go in the right direction towards Self-sufficiency!

Currently there is no form of cooperation, coordination and integration between farm owners, despite the existence of amazing Emirati experiences in the field of agriculture, unique experiences that have proven fully successful, produced many varieties of fruits that cannot be produced in a desert country, and in commercial quantities, and with high quality, and we have Hundreds of thousands of farms .. yes hundreds of thousands exceeding 800 thousand farms spread across the Emirates, producing various types of vegetables, and we do not need with them to import vegetables from abroad, but unfortunately the owners of these farms suffer from poor marketing of their production, and most often they do not sell it, while Markets are filled with competing vegetables of various kinds Across the world, importers benefit, and the farmers of this good land lose!

Reaching the stage of complete self-sufficiency in the field of agriculture does not need years, the Emirates can reach it quickly, it is not a distant dream, but it is closer than you think, only if the farmers are protected, and the “government” sales outlets are available, which help them sell and market Their products, and most importantly if they have a government or semi-governmental "umbrella" that can collect, organize, and defend them, and work to obtain protective laws for them, then we will all eat from the best of the Emirates, and we will not need to wait for external shipments that may or may not arrive !
