At the dawn of deconfinement, Laurent Berger advocates social dialogue. The secretary general of the CFDT regrets this Tuesday that the return to work protocol of the government does not mention these internal discussions, essential for the recovery, according to him.

This protocol, released on Sunday by the Ministry of Labor, "is interesting on the technical aspects, but it only makes sense if it is the subject of discussions, of dialogue," said the manager during the broadcast. Ecorama online (Boursorama et l'Opinion ). "He does the feat, the protocol of the government, never to pronounce or write" social dialogue, staff representatives "", he noted. "If it is not the subject of social dialogue within the company, it will not work," he added, about the resumption of activity.

Time for reflection before recovery

“Today, the companies that have started to be active again, each time it works well, it is because there has been time to question the staff representatives and even the employees on the organization of work ”, assured Laurent Berger.

He also insisted on this point in an interview with Le Monde en ligne: “It is incredible that there is not at least an explanation to say that these recommendations must be implemented within the framework of an internal dialogue . The companies which will apply it unilaterally risk missing out on the essentials, that is to say, restoring confidence in employees ”.

Solidarity at the heart of the crisis

He also considered "insufficient" the aid released by the government for the most deprived, including that announced Monday of 200 euros, paid in June to some 800,000 young people under 25 years "precarious or modest".

"We are claiming 250 euros per month per person for the duration of the confinement and that the RSA be paid to those under 25," he said. “I am not saying that the public authorities have done nothing, but these actions must be lasting because the risk is great that these audiences will be forgotten later. Our country is going to have to show much more solidarity than in the past, ”he stressed.

More generally, he considered the social climate to be "worrying": "The level of confidence in the country is low, the temptation to conflict is strong because there are situations of inequality and a lack of visibility on the future "
