According to an estimate by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the number of children under the age of 15 in Japan as of the end of last month
was 7.12 million for boys and 7.38 million for girls, for

The ratio of children to the total population has dropped by 0.1 points from the previous year to 12%, a new record low, and has been declining for 46 consecutive years since 1975, and the declining birthrate remains unstoppable.

On the other hand, when looking at the number of children as of October 1, last year, by prefecture, it was only in Tokyo that the number increased from the previous year.
It is the sixth consecutive year that only Tokyo has increased.
