The summary card of May 4 - Ministry of Health

It is now a well-established ritual. Each evening, Jérôme Salomon, the Director General of Health, presents the new version of the map of France of epidemic activity. A three-color graph that synthesizes, department by department, the circulation of the virus and hospital tensions. Something to wait for the card of Thursday, May 7 which will be two-color (red / green) and will serve as the basis for the deconfinement device.

No change to note on the summary card this Monday. The country is still divided into three blocks, a northeast third classified red, an arc going from Normandy to Corsica in green and in the middle an orange buffer zone.

Soon a third criterion

Sunday, 32 departments were classified in red. Loire-Atlantique, Mayenne and Gers had gone from orange to green, the rest of the map having seen no change. In addition to viral circulation and the situation in hospitals, a third criterion should be added to the analysis in the coming days: the ability to do tests, a crucial element in planning deconfinement.

The summary card is constructed according to the following principle: if a department is red in one of the categories, it is red in the summary. The orange areas of the summary map “are intended to switch between May 11 and green or red.
