Came into force on March 24, the state of health emergency is extended because its lifting on May 23 "would be premature", "the risks of epidemic recovery" being "proven in the event of a sudden interruption of measures in progress", indicates the bill which will be examined from Monday by the Parliament.
The text, which includes seven articles, aims to "consolidate the legal framework" and "expand" to "integrate the issues of deconfinement", which is due to start on May 11, said Olivier Véran.
A bill discussed by senators and then deputies
"We will have to live for a time with the virus," said the Minister of Health. "Learning to live with the virus, that's the stake for the next few months," added the Minister of the Interior, Christophe Castaner, after the Council of Ministers which was held for more than two hours at the Elysium.
The text specifies in particular the quarantine conditions for people arriving in France and infected with the virus. It also relates to the implementation of an "information system" concerning sick people and their entourage for a maximum of one year.
