Ndaba Mandela publishes a book in tribute to his grandfather Nelson Mandela

Ndaba Mandela is the grandson of Nelson Mandela. Now 35, he has now become a recognized activist; he continued his grandfather's work by founding the Africa Rising foundation. (Replay of January 25, 2019)

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of his grandfather, in 2018, he wrote a book of memories, in tribute to the one who raised him, published today in French under the title "Le courage de pardonner »At Marabout editions .

"Going in the mountains" is a rite of passage to adulthood among the Xhosa people that Nelson Mandela then Ndaba Mandela went through. Ndaba Mandela did not discover his grandfather until his release; Nelson Mandela then takes him under his wing and undertakes to accompany him towards adulthood, with the educational and moral principles that have guided his public and private actions. Nourished by tribal wisdom and folk tales, this book offers us many life lessons, both on freedom, forgiveness, leadership, strength of body and mind, as on integrity, responsibility, respect for others and of course peace.
