There was an open flame that was not extinguished, and the area of the fire was about 600 mu.
At 13:40 on the 1st, a forest fire broke out in Aojiang Village, Shipai Town, Datian County, and the fire quickly spread to neighboring villages such as Taokeng Village. The average height of the fire site is about 650 meters, and the average slope is 30 degrees. The vegetation is mainly reeds, winter grass and shrubs, and there are local Chinese pine forests.
After receiving the fire report, the Fujian Provincial Forest Fire Brigade immediately activated the emergency response mechanism and dispatched more than 300 commanders from the Sanming Brigade, Sanming Brigade, Quanzhou Brigade, Longyan Brigade and the Provincial Forest Fire Brigade to fight at the scene.
At around 15:30 on the 2nd, the wind direction of the fire site changed abruptly, a re-ignition point appeared, and the fire site quickly shifted to the south. As of press time, there was still an open flame on the scene, and there were still more than 400 people in the forest fire fighting, local professional firefighters, cadres, and villagers fighting at the scene.
There are currently no reports of casualties, and the fire is expected to be basically controlled on the evening of the 2nd. The cause of the fire is under further investigation.
