As a result of the spread of Covid-19 in France, the La Route du Rock festival, which takes place in Saint-Malo and was to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, has been canceled. Originally scheduled from August 19 to 22, this edition was to accommodate more than 20,000 festival-goers.

The 2020 edition of the Route du Rock, which was to celebrate this year the 30th anniversary of the Malouin festival, originally scheduled for August 19 to 22, has been postponed to 2021, the organizers announced on their website. "The health crisis we are going through forces us to surrender in our turn (...). Apart from all regulatory and economic considerations, it was unthinkable anyway to put a single festival-goer in danger," announced the organizing association, Rock Tympans.

The 2020 edition postponed to the summer of 2021

Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced Tuesday the ban on all events of more than 5,000 participants until September, doubting the hopes of the Breton festival, which annually hosts more than 20,000 festival-goers.
