  China News Agency, Hong Kong, May 1 (Reporter Zhang Xiaoxi) The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Department of Health's Center for Health Protection reported on the 1st that as of 16:00 on the 1st, Hong Kong added two new cases of Pakistan's diagnosis of new coronary pneumonia on the same day, breaking the "zero" for five consecutive days. "Confirmed", the cumulative number of confirmed cases has increased to 1,039.

  A briefing session on the latest situation of new coronary pneumonia cases that had been suspended for five consecutive days was held in Hong Kong again that day. Zhang Zhujun, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Center for Health Protection, Department of Health, said that two new cases were confirmed on the 1st involving a 34-year-old man and a 16-year-old woman. Both of them returned to Hong Kong from Pakistan on April 30 by special plane of the SAR government.

  It is reported that the special plane to pick up stranded Pakistani residents arrived in Hong Kong at about 19:00 on April 30, with a total of 319 passengers on board. After they got off the plane, they went to the AsiaWorld-Expo for new crest virus detection, and then were sent to the Junyang Village Quarantine Center for 14 days of mandatory quarantine.

  Zhang Zhujun pointed out that the Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health is continuing to follow up the epidemiological investigation of confirmed cases and the tracking of contacts. At present, the virus test results of the relatives of newly diagnosed female patients on the 1st are negative, but we must continue to observe; the virus test results of individual passengers on this special plane have not yet come out, and the relevant conditions need to be followed up.

  Zhang Zhujun also said that although the number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong has decreased recently, and there have even been "zero confirmed" consecutive days, but because of the longer incubation period of the new coronavirus and the spread of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic in many parts of the world, the current crisis in Hong Kong has not been lifted. It is expected that there will be more confirmed cases of input type.

  In addition, Yu Huiling, Chief Administrative Manager (Medical Effectiveness and Technology Management) of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority stated that as of 12:00 noon on that day, 194 people in Hong Kong had been hospitalized for quarantine.
