US President Donald Trump continues the collapse of the old, hypocritical world, in which the globalists almost prevailed, in fact already creating a united world according to the patterns of Western civilization. Such a world, obviously, would be extremely unjust and cruel, as it did not leave — and this is the majority of humanity — a chance for one’s own opinion, one’s civilizational identity, one’s way of thinking, severely suppressing any dissent.

The Western way of life and thought was voluntarily declared universal, and mankind clearly gave in to such pressure, being at a loss, but help came from within, from the very center of the West. The hope of mankind for multipolarity is Donald Trump, whether he wanted it or not, but by his own will or in addition to it, he continues to move the world towards a more just multipolar device.

This time, Trump decided to strike at the deceitful and extremely hypocritical world order, whose den is still cumbersome, extremely ineffective and has long failed to meet its original UN tasks. Trump decided to question all this, having made several elegant moves, which are worth considering in more detail.

But first you still need to make a reservation: the UN was good in the framework of a bipolar world, where the USSR and the USA - two opposing centers of these two poles - divided the world into two camps, having every opportunity to force each other to comply with international law, compliance with treaties and other legal formalities .

After the collapse of the USSR, only scenery remained from international law. More precisely, the United States could, of course, voluntarily preserve the current legal model even in the absence of an opponent overseeing its implementation. But they did not want to do this, and in March 1999, starting to bomb Yugoslavia, they crossed out everything.

Further, everything was just from fear of a cruel America, which destroys even European cities, not just Japanese ones, by pretending that international law exists and everything continues as before, although everyone understood that Washington became the source of legality, and not New York (that alternative), where the UN headquarters is located.

For starters, Trump withdrew from an agreement with Iran limiting its nuclear program in exchange for lifting sanctions. The action is extremely incomprehensible to the West, because the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA) was the peak of the consolidation of the West on the way to a unipolar world. The complete unity of the positions of the Western allies, not only restricting Iran in its nuclear aspirations, but also opening, in fact, this country for real pro-Western reforms.

It was then that Western NGOs felt most at ease in Iran, already aiming for a color revolution, and the liberal lobby in the Iranian elites really raised their heads.

And then Trump with his exit from the JCPOA. What a blow to Western unity! But this was only the beginning.

Formally, this was justified by the fact that new sanctions would finally tear the Iranian economy to shreds. They would force Iran to crawl on its knees and ask for mercy - this was conveyed to the American elites. But instead, Iran received free hands: calmly, without regard to any obligations, began to engage in its program fully, in full force, launched the first military satellite, made serious progress in the missile program - and finally mobilized by clearing liberal pro-Western networks and starting to operate really sovereign. Without illusions about the West and American "deals."

Here, by the way, in October 2020, that is, a month before the US presidential election, the UN restrictions on military supplies to Iran expire. Washington immediately threatened to extend the embargo. But here that last straw, for which the supporters of maintaining the status quo, the right of veto of Russia in the Security Council, can go into play. That is, it is threatening, not threatening, but in the Security Council it will not work.

In this case, Trump, like any American, always has a plan B - to launch a "mechanism for the self-destruction of the Iranian nuclear deal." Yes, there was such a time bomb laid in this very SVPD.

According to the UN Security Council resolution numbered 2231, on the basis of which the JCPOA is legally valid, in case of violations, any country participating in the agreement can launch this mechanism. That is, if it seemed to some of the parties to the agreement that Iran was violating the agreement, and there was at least some evidence to justify it, then resolution 2231 would be automatically canceled, and sanctions and embargoes, on the contrary, would be imposed.

The United States threatens to take advantage of this today if Russia or China (or both) veto the requirement to extend the embargo on arms supplies to Iran. But here's the bad luck - the United States withdrew from the deal back in May 2018. That is, the Americans no longer have any right to launch any mechanisms regarding the JCPOA. Arrived. But when did American elites care about legal formalities and generally respecting the law?

Iran also does not remain silent and warns that if the embargo is extended, it will cease to comply with any restrictions on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons by withdrawing from the relevant treaty. But this is not even the main thing. In fact, the "self-destruction mechanism" of resolution 2231 was a unique tool to circumvent the veto: after all, any participating country could launch it without agreement with the Security Council.

If the Americans did not withdraw from the agreement then, in 2018, they could now use this tool and no veto would hurt them. But they left - and now it will be illegal. However, Trump is still going to use it. And if this happens, then the current US allies will have to somehow react: either admit "self-destruction", contrary to the obvious violation of the law, or go against the United States for the rule of law.

Any of the options will create tension, as either the split of the Western coalition, or finally disable the decision-making mechanism within the UN Security Council.

Either one or the other will happen, especially if the decision to launch the “self-destruction mechanism” of the resolution is first implemented, and then challenged and canceled.

Thus, Trump created a situation in which any of the two possible options would inflict a crushing blow on the remnants of a long-standing model. Either he will put up with the end of the arms embargo on Iran, which will cause irreparable image damage to America by fixing Iran’s victory (but Trump is unlikely to agree to this in the light of the upcoming elections), or he will launch the “self-destruction mechanism”, violating international law again, having completely outlawed itself and at the same time achieved the unity of the Western world, which is already gone.

What can I say, a win-win chess combination, conducted by Trump, putting an end to the fact that it remains a ballast that does not allow us to move forward, taking our place and preventing us from creating a new legal model that captures the new reality of the multipolar world that is coming before our eyes.

Of course, as always happens in such situations, this conflict has a third way: stop confrontation with Iran altogether, recognize its sovereignty and the right to nuclear development for its own safety, abandon attempts to remove the current Iranian regime and begin to work on equal terms. And without breaking anything. Trump could also have done all this, having gone down in history as the president-peacemaker, who had eliminated the premises of the war. After all, a handful of hawks in the American elites need a war with Iran, and ordinary Americans, Trump voters, need peace and stable development - without wars and aggressive adventures. But this will be a completely different story.
