  (Evening on the 28th) Around 10:15, we found that three suspicious men had moved out of nylon bags in a shop on Shanghai Street, so the agent immediately acted and found 25 bags inside, each weighing 1 kg, covered with tea packaging Suspected methamphetamine. Subsequently, 11 large nylon bags were found in the ground floor, containing similarly packed methamphetamine. The total amount of methamphetamine seized was 296 kg, and the market value exceeded 158 million (HK $). The number of methamphetamines seized this time is the single largest seizure of methamphetamine in a single operation of our law enforcement department in Hong Kong since 1991.

  [Commentary] During the operation, a total of 6 men and 1 woman were arrested, aged between 26 and 57 years old. Two of them were smuggled from the mainland to Hong Kong, and the other was an Asian person holding a Canadian passport. Police also found a small amount of drugs in nearby hotels, drug-using tools and credit cards suspected of being stolen. At present, 7 people have been detained for investigation. The police said that the operation is still in progress, and it is not ruled out that more people have been arrested.
