Since Monday, the town hall of Marseille has organized massive screening of municipal officials who will resume work next week. Around 300 civil servants are screened every day at the IHU Méditerranée Infection, the institute of the famous professor Didier Raoult. The agents of the schools and the nurseries of Marseilles are "priority", specifies a spokesperson of the town hall to 20 Minutes .

The objective of the municipality is to screen all the agents who will be in contact with the public when schools and crèches reopen on May 11.

Samples from the premises

Civil servants who are infected with the coronavirus are taken care of by occupational physicians from the city of Marseille. They must respect isolation for at least 14 days.

At the same time, “surface samples are taken by the firefighters” in the places where they would have gone, specifies the town hall of Marseilles, which wants to check “whether the premises were infected or not. In this case, "an additional disinfection is carried out, in addition to conventional cleaning", concludes this same source.

The town hall was unable to indicate, this Thursday morning, how many officials are affected by the Covid-19.
