In 2018, we first introduced our associate dean Professor Jin Yipeng of the Animal Medical College of China Agricultural University, as the chief veterinarian of our zoo, mainly to help prevent and control this epidemic during the artificial rearing of our snow leopard, 2019 At the beginning of the year, the park set up a research team for artificial breeding of snow leopards, and then deployed some experienced breeders and professional technicians to be responsible for artificial breeding of snow leopards. This is also very important for the healthy growth of Little Snow Leopard.

[Explanation] Snow Leopard is known as the "King of Snow Mountains". At present, China is the world's largest snow leopard distribution country, covering 60% of its habitat. Mainly distributed in Qinghai, Xinjiang, Gansu, Tibet and other provinces. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Wildlife Park is located in Xining City, Qinghai Province. It is also the only snow leopard breeding base in China. The successful breeding of the twin snow leopards not only further accumulated artificial breeding experience in the park, but also laid a technical foundation for the continued artificial breeding of snow leopards in the future. The increasing maturity of snow leopard artificial breeding technology can not only increase the number of captive snow leopards and expand the influence of conservation education, but also add a new channel and means for the protection of snow leopards in China.
