The exceptional bonus granted to members of the nursing staff has been extended to those who work in establishments for dependent elderly people (Ehpad). Only employees of structures managed by the state and local authorities are currently concerned, said this Wednesday  West-France , which reveals the information.

In the draft decree framing the gratuity, the absence of the agents of the public health establishments of the retirement homes, confronted with full force to the crisis of the coronavirus, had made cringe teeth in the profession.

What about private establishments?

The Ministry of Health finally included them without however communicating the amount of the premium that will be granted to all beneficiaries. "It is well planned to also grant a bonus to the agents of medico-social establishments, in particular nursing homes," the ministry told the regional daily. The terms of this bonus may be fixed either in this draft text which has not been finalized to date, or in an ad hoc text in order to better take into account the specificities of the sector. "

This widening of the measure could however put aside another category of agents: those who work in private or associative establishments. “It is simply unthinkable. […] It is unworthy. […] These personnel have taken all the risks ”, denounces to Ouest-France  Michèle Delaunay, former Minister for Seniors and Autonomy.
