Premium gift certificate issued by Kawasaki to support SMEs New Corona April 30th 18:01

Kawasaki City has decided to issue its own premium gift certificate in order to support local small and medium-sized enterprises that are under severe management due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

This was announced on May 30 by Mayor Norihiko Fukuda of Kawasaki. As a result, in order to support small and medium-sized stores and accommodation facilities in the city that are under severe management due to the influence of the new coronavirus, we will issue a Kawasaki Jimoto support ticket, a premium gift certificate.

If you purchase this gift certificate for 10,000 yen, you can shop and eat for 13,000 yen at small and medium-sized retail stores, accommodation facilities and restaurants in the city.

Those who live in Kawasaki City or commute to work can purchase gift certificates, and we plan to issue 870,000 copies.

The timing of issuance and the target stores will be decided in the future, so we will add 3 billion yen as a project cost to the supplementary budget for May.

The city wants to encourage local consumption by matching the timing of the special fixed benefit of 100,000 yen.

At the interview, Mayor Fukuda said, "People who are still economically able to endure should use the benefits from the government for gift certificates to support local stores."
