An investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the American actor Harrison Ford's plane landing in California at a time when another plane was about to take off, according to the authorities. The 77-year-old actor, known as Indiana Jones and Han Solo in Star Wars, has previously had such adventures in aviation.

The "fatal" mistake was recorded at an airport in the Los Angeles area, and did not result in casualties or damage. Harrison Ford may not have heard well or misunderstood the Watchtower's instructions.

The Federal Aviation Administration said it was conducting an investigation. "We are conducting an investigation into an incident during which the pilot of the Aviat Haski runway crossed the runway, while another plane was preparing for the Touch and Go exercise," she said.

Hasky Aviat is a small two-seat helicopter. The "Touch & Go" exercise is based on landing and taking off immediately.

The actor said in an audio recording of what happened: “Sorry, sir, I understood the opposite. I'm so sorry".

And it was a distance of 1.3 kilometers between the two planes. A spokesman for the actor told AFP: "There was no danger of a collision." In 2017, Harrison Ford escaped punishment after an accident at another airport in southern California.

He had wrongly landed his plane on a runway that the planes only used to walk, and not on the runway. During that time, he passed over a Boeing 737 carrying 110 passengers and six crew.

Two years earlier, in 2015, he made an emergency landing with a plane returning to World War II due to an engine failure. The plane hit a tree and crashed into a golf course.

The actor sustained several fractures as a result of this accident.
