During the epidemic prevention and control period, the opening hours are from 8:30 to 17:00 (admission is closed at 16:00). The museum is closed on Mondays (except for statutory holidays). Visitors can make reservations through the Forbidden City ticketing website. Tickets within 10 days can be reserved before 24 o'clock that day, with a daily limit of 5,000 people, 8: 30-13: 00 limit of 3,000 people; 13: 00-16: 00 limit of 2,000 people.

  At present, the outdoor exhibition area of ​​the front three halls, back three palaces, imperial garden, Waixi Road, Shoukang palace, Cining garden area and some courtyards of the east and west six palaces are open. The indoor exhibition halls and indoor service venues such as the Treasure Hall, the Clock and Watch Hall are temporarily closed. The Wumen Gate Tower, Donghuamen Gate Tower, Shenwumen Gate Tower and the adjacent city wall are temporarily closed. Visitors are required to cooperate with the body temperature measurement and present a real-time "health code" before entering the hospital.
