The artistic painting that appeared in the office of the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, during a cabinet meeting held via teleconference on Tuesday, raised the questions of social media pioneers. Wondering its source and who drew it.
The Saudi artist Zaman Jasim revealed that he was the owner of the painting by tweeting it on his account on "Twitter", in which he said: "It is an honor and great pleasure that one of my paintings hangs in a space in which my Highness the Crown Prince, may God protect you." He also explained in press statements that he drew it in 2017, and despite the positive reactions that I found, he was not expected to reach the Crown Prince's office, expressing his pride in this matter. He pointed out that the idea of the painting is inspired by reality, while the Arabic letter carries a musical feeling and embodies the word "peace", which is repeated in most of his works.
Social media also reported a tweet published by the Saudi artist, Lulwa Al-Hamoud, in which she said: “After I acquired my works from international museums and institutions, I knew that nothing compares to your success in your country, and the state’s appreciation of your art, how proud I am of my painting in the office of His Highness the Crown Prince.”
In his tweets, Saudi Minister of Culture Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud stated that Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman has directed, since 2013, that his artistic works be in his official hands with Saudi hands. Stressing that the crown prince is the first supporter of artists and intellectuals.
