A professional Australian diver encounters a hammerhead shark face-to-face after landing on it in Bimini, Bahamas.

Australian diver Alex Kidd, 29, took breathtaking pictures of a terrifying "hammer" shark that can weigh up to 1,000 pounds.

"Taking an underwater photo near the hammerhead shark, bull sharks, tiger sharks and crystal clear waters in the depths of the Bahamas is a dream that has come true to me," said the adventurous young man, according to the British newspaper, The Sun.

The "hammerhead" shark, or what is known as the Abu Hammer shark, is famous for its strange head and more like a hammer, and lives in the tropical oceans and some seas.
