StopCovid is the tracking application that the government wants to launch at the time of the deconfinement, like what has also been done in South Korea, Poland or Singapore. Its implementation was to be the subject of a debate and a specific vote in the National Assembly on Tuesday, but it was finally incorporated into the bill concerning the overall deconfinement plan. A daring project, but one that raises many questions, especially on a technical level. Developed by the National Research Institute for Digital Science and Technology with the help of several French companies, StopCovid will work with bluetooth. But some experts doubt the effectiveness of this system. Baptiste Robert is a cybersecurity researcher and for him, bluetooth technology is not effective in precisely targeting the users concerned.
