"I was cheated by an online game girlfriend of 60,000 yuan"

  "Marriage fraud" in online games

"I really can't play this game, please let me go." Less than 1 minute after sending WeChat, 29-year-old Suzhou boy Zhang Hao found himself blackened by his girlfriend.

He didn't know that the "girlfriend" at the end of the screen marked him as "inferior customer" in the customer list and turned his head to shout "husband" to others.

Recently, in the new online fraud case of the Mohs Group handled by the People's Procuratorate of Taicang City, Jiangsu Province, the criminal suspects used emotional fraud as the main means to act as a "three noes" game "broker", set up tactical traps, and continued to implement fraud .

The so-called "three no" games are games that have no business license, no game record, and cannot be downloaded publicly. In an interview with a reporter from the China Youth Daily and China Youth Daily, it was discovered that such games that could not enter the market had no vitality. However, every year, many young players "smash" a lot of money into them without knowing the truth. .

Burned more than 60,000 yuan in two months

In September 2017, when playing the online game "League of Legends", Zhang Hao met the girl who claimed to be "Lin Coco" and added WeChat to each other. After looking at the "Lin Coco" WeChat circle of friends, Zhang Hao found that the other party was a sweet-looking college student with a good family background, and immediately got a good impression. The two had been in a relationship for less than half a month, and the relationship was determined.

In July 2018, "Lin Coco" suddenly asked Zhang Hao to accompany her to play a new game called "Jian Dong Jiu Tian". Zhang Hao found that this game is very rough to produce and has poor playability, and can not be found in the App Store of the mobile phone, and can only be accessed through the link sent by the other party.

Zhang Hao also found that "Jian Dong Jiu Tian" is more "burning money" than ordinary online games-many routine operations require recharge to complete, and even the game character "marry" has 5 grades from 199 yuan to 9999 yuan.

Zhang Hao is happy to win his girlfriend, and has recharged more than 40,000 yuan. The two not only "married" in the game, they also gave birth to a "child" and created a "gang" with the two names in common.

Later, "Lin Keke" recommended to him a mobile game "Dancing Star" similar to "Jian Dong Jiu Tian". Over the past two months, Zhang Hao recharged the two games with more than 60,000 yuan, not only spent many years of savings, but also owed more than 20,000 yuan in small online loans. It was not until he was suddenly blacked by the other party that he realized that he might be scammed and called the police.

Promote "three no" games with "marriage" mode

The Taicang City Public Security Bureau arrested the criminal suspect Luo Bing (pseudonym) who played "Lin Keke" and eight other criminal associates in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province in December 2018.

During the interrogation, Luo Bing and others confessed their "behind-the-scenes boss"-Tang Yimin (pseudonym), the leader of Chongqing Mo's fraud group. According to reports, the group has established multiple fraud dens in Chongqing, Wuxi and Changzhou, and has been engaged in telecommunications fraud activities for a long time in the name of game promotion.

On March 26 this year, the public security agencies in Taicang and Chongqing jointly carried out a sweeping operation of a telecommunications fraud gang led by Tang Yimin, arresting 78 people on the scene. A black industry chain that promotes the "three noes" game in a marriage care mode and covers "production-operation-promotion" surfaced.

Tang Yimin confessed to the police that every year there will be a batch of online games in the gaming industry that will not pass the review, and some of the games with the "circle money" function will be acquired by the gaming platform at a low price. This type of game platform is often a little-known platform. In order to avoid being discovered by relevant departments, the platform does not put the game entrance on the website, but operates secretly in the background in the form of "link invitation".

At the beginning of 2017, Tang Yimin, who operated an online game training studio, introduced Hu Jie (a pseudonym), the person in charge of Chongqing Jiuyue Game Platform, through a friend's introduction. Hu Jie told Tang Yimin that a batch of unqualified games in his hand can give up to 70% -80% rebate rewards. Players recharge 100 yuan in the game, and the promotion party can get a commission of 70-80 yuan.

Driven by economic interests, the two parties signed a cooperation agreement and registered Mohong Network Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Mohong Company"), specializing in the promotion of the "three noes" game.

Tang Yimin developed a "marriage care" promotion model: let promoters pretend to be female and play up with male players in regular online games, deceive the other party's trust by "love", and then send the game link generated by the platform to pull the other party to "three no "In the game, and encourage them to recharge through consumption.

In order to facilitate the management of employees, Mohong Company divided employees into "shareholders", "senior executives", "team leaders", "promoters" and other levels, formulated performance evaluation indicators, and clarified the division of labor among departments.

The general manager of the company is responsible for daily management, and the team leader conducts vocabulary training for the promoters; the personnel department is responsible for recruiting "game promoters" on the job search website, and "beauty packaging" the promoters' QQ and WeChat accounts; the promotion department is responsible Implementing the entire fraud, female employees cover up the fraud of male promoters by sending voices, answering phone calls, videos, etc ...

The Moss Group is gaining more and more fame in the game promotion circle, and the number of illegal game platforms and games it cooperates with has gradually increased.

Fraud models are constantly evolving

The promoters will list the players with strong consumption ability and high trust as "advanced customers", and transfer them to the public WeChat account in the group, which will be directly connected by the team leader. The team leader fabricates various reasons outside the game to defraud players' money. This method of direct fraud is called "doing foreign trade" by insiders.

Taicang City People's Procuratorate undertook prosecutor Li Hui introduced that another victim of the case, Zhu, had been "interviewed", "parents are ill", and "required living expenses" for more than a year in "association" with the promoter For other reasons, cheated about 30,000 yuan. Zhu proposed to break up. In order to allow him to continue to transfer money, he threatened to use the video clips and other video photos found on the Internet to force Zhu to transfer more than 20,000 yuan.

At the beginning of 2019, after Changzhou Mofeng Company and Chongqing Jiuyue game platform were investigated by public security organs, Tang Yimin realized that there was a high risk of continuing to promote the "three noes" game promotion, so he set about changing the fraud mode.

Tang Yimin set up a live broadcast promotion department, looking for female anchors to cooperate on niche live broadcast platforms such as Jade Bird Live. After using the "marriage" mode and the game player to develop into a boyfriend and girlfriend, the promoters lied that they were doing anchors, and asked the other party to watch and "swipe gifts" in the designated live broadcast room.

In order to enhance the trust of customers, the promoters will pretend to be the anchor in the live broadcast and chat with customers on WeChat. The anchor will also cooperate with the promoter's words to encourage customers to recharge the rewards. The two parties will divide the live broadcast revenue according to the negotiated ratio.

According to the police, by the time of the incident, the Moh Group had used a "pull live broadcast" method to defraud more than ten people.

On February 5 this year, the Taicang People's Procuratorate prosecuted 35 members of the Moh Group in accordance with the law for fraud. The amount involved was as high as more than 2 million yuan.

Li Hui told the China Youth Daily and China Youth Network reporter that since last year, the Suzhou region has discovered the new telecommunications fraud model of the Mohs Group. At present, there have been many similar fraud cases across the country. Compared with traditional marriage and fraud, in such cases, criminals use the method of "marriage trust" to introduce victims into the game "trap" to defraud money, because the "three noes" game cannot be found on the Internet, so the fraud is very Strong concealment. Criminals and game platforms are "linked" to each other. In order to avoid legal risks, they try to use game recharge this form of legal transaction method to "wash white" fraudulent money.

Li Hui introduced that most promoters are both defendants and victims. Most of them are between the ages of 17-24, just after graduating from school, they lack social experience, no economic foundation, and urgently need a stable job. The Moh Group took advantage of their eagerness to find a job, openly recruited under the name of a "game promoter" on a large job search website, and set extremely low entry thresholds and provided free board and lodging. After the employees join the company, the company will deliberately conceal the illegality of its operation mode, while mentally "brainwashing" them, while tying them on the grounds of "receiving no salary", so that these young people are deceived by them Tools and accomplices.

In this regard, Li Hui suggested that the relevant departments should increase the inspection of the game promotion market and strictly regulate the industry operating standards. Job seekers should also improve their identification capabilities. If they find illegal behavior in the employer, they should report the case to the public security organ as soon as possible while protecting themselves.
