This is a new bar that has just been crossed in Brittany with now 203 patients aged 55 to 100 who died from the Covid-19 in Breton hospitals, four more victims compared to Friday. Added to this are the 57 deaths recorded in nursing homes in the region according to the latest assessment provided by Santé Publique France.

Despite this sad record, the situation continues to improve in hospitals with a number of people in intensive care that decreases day by day. For the moment, 58 patients are still in the services of the region, two fewer in 72 hours. Two weeks ago, this figure was still 117 serious patients in Brittany.

2,332 confirmed cases in the region

The number of people admitted to hospitals also continues to drop in Brittany with 352 patients who are to date hospitalized in services other than intensive care, 17 fewer patients than on Friday. Thirty-four people were also able to return to their homes over the weekend, according to figures from the Regional Health Agency.

As the tests increase, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus continues on the other hand to progress in Brittany with now 2,332 cases, that is to say 38 more in 72 hours. It is in Ille-et-Vilaine that the number of confirmed cases is the largest in the region (646 cases), ahead of Morbihan (567), Finistère (553) and Côtes-d'Armor (328).
