-Do you dare to write a free book about coronavirus and publish it on the day of the book?

- Marián, book day is Thursday and today is Monday.

- That's why I tell you that if you dare ...

Journalist Arantxa Castaño gave me "yes, I want" on WhatsApp since her confinement in Toledo and we got to work.

We did not start from scratch. We have both been working together on the disclosure of COVID-19 since January 22, the day the Ministry of Health issued the first "fat" statement on the then-so-called "Wuhan coronavirus."

Three months later, and hundreds of posts on social media, we had collected a lot of information about the virus. Specifically in this newspaper I have published a dozen articles on many aspects related to the disease. From the first, back in February, on disinfecting gels to this weekend's article on food for confinement, including bleach, face masks, gloves, vitamin D ...

April 23, the day of the book, was the perfect excuse to collect all the information, update it based on the most current evidence, and put it in a format that is easy to read from mobile devices for free distribution. And this is where the third leg of the bank comes in, Mª Dolores Alfaro, illustrator and designer, as well as a personal friend, whom we also managed to trick into making her pretty.

123 questions about coronavirus is a book presented in an agile question-answer format, informative, quick to read and easy to understand. Easy even for those who have never heard of PCR in their lives.

The information is grouped into four blocks with everything that is known (and what is not known) about the virus to date. The first one answers questions directly related to the coronavirus and its family, the origin of SARS-CoV-2, the residence time on the surface, the eternal doubt about whether it is transmitted by air, the symptoms of the disease, the famous load viral, the lethality, the acclaimed tests, the thousand and one treatments that "sound" every week or the possible vaccine.

In the second block we address prevention and cleaning. It offers all the keys to the use of masks and gloves, household disinfection products or the treatment of clothing and footwear, among others. The third block is dedicated to specific situations related to ophthalmology, dentistry, asthma and allergies, pregnancy and lactation, pediatrics, dermatology, gynecology, stress and lack of sleep, grief management, sports or pharmacology.

In the last chapter, the protagonist is feeding during confinement, answering questions about the possibility of contagion through food, precautions in the supermarket, treatment of the purchase once at home, cleaning and disinfecting food, prolonging of the shelf life of fruits and vegetables or vitamin D.

Finally, we decided to include a section dismantling the 10 most popular health and food hoaxes and offering instead a list of official sources to find out about the coronavirus.

A squad of 40 health professionals , scientists and specialists from various areas participated in the book , giving us their time and knowledge. And as man lives not only from science, Andrés Aberasturi and Manuel Vilas, finalist of the Planeta Prize 2019, also joined the cause, with the prologue and the epilogue respectively. The book includes a tip and a playlist dedicated by the singer Chenoa to encourage the spirit, does anyone give more?

We hope that it helps you and that, if you consider it appropriate, you spread it among your contacts so that it runs faster than hoaxes. Available at this link: https://cutt.ly/123PCV
