China News Service, Huzhou, April 25 (Reporter Shi Zinan) On the afternoon of the 25th, "2020 Moganshan Large-scale Outdoor Public Welfare Collective Wedding" was held in Moganshan Town, Deqing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Forty couples from all over the place who had postponed their marriage due to the new crown pneumonia epidemic got together and got married.

On that day, a total of 99 couples online and offline participated in the group wedding. Among them, there are not only medical staff on the front line of anti-epidemic, but also grassroots workers and volunteers who stick to the rear. Faced with the epidemic, they resolutely chose to postpone the wedding, or struggled against the epidemic, or stick to their jobs.

"Participating in this collective wedding will become the most memorable thing in our life!" As the youngest couple in this wedding, Xu Yueyu, born in 1996, and Ni Kejing, born in 1999, couldn't hide their excitement.

Xu Yueyu is a policeman at the police station of Qiandaohu Station of the Hangzhou Railway Public Security Office, and Ni Kejing is a nurse at the Qianyuan Central Hospital of Deqing County. The two received a marriage certificate in December 2019 and plan to prepare for the wedding in the New Year. Under the epidemic situation, Xu Yueyu took the initiative to take on duty, and Ni Kejing also invited Ying to go to the medical isolation observation point. In their view, "the fight against epidemic is urgent and the wedding can be held later."

Xu Yueyu told reporters that through the epidemic, the couple saw more advantages in each other's body and deeper feelings. "And being able to hold a wedding with so many staff who are fighting on the front line of the epidemic can share more happiness."

Xu Yueyu's words expressed the wishes of all the newcomers present.

Although the newcomers Zhou Zhongping and Chen Yuanyi were at the Deqing County Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau, they rarely met during the epidemic. Zhou Zhongping said that the epidemic has given both sides greater tolerance and understanding of each other, and the new people's congresses on the scene have a common anti-epidemic experience, which can more resonate with each other.

"The main purpose of holding a group wedding is to express gratitude to the 'retrograde' couple who missed the wedding in the epidemic." Gao Qun, secretary of the Party Committee of Moganshan Town, said, "They protect the country and the people, and we protect their love."

It is reported that the group wedding lasted nearly 2 months. Since the announcement of the solicitation, the total number of newly-registered couples is nearly 115. At the wedding, Zhong Nanshan and Li Lanjuan, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, also sent blessings to the newcomers through recording and video. As Zhong Nanshan said in the recording, "Spring has arrived. I believe this epidemic will allow everyone to understand and cherish all the people around them." (End)
