1,000 euros per month for businesses with cash shortages

Empty boxes but usual loads that continue to fall. This is the situation that countless companies across France have been facing for several weeks. To avoid the suffocation of the most fragile companies in shortage of cash, the Metropolis decided to allocate aid of 1,000 euros for March and April to small businesses with 0 to 10 employees in the territory. To benefit from it, the latter must already be affected by the aid of 1,500 euros provided by the State (solidarity fund). In the agglomeration, between 20,000 and 30,000 companies should be able to benefit from it by the end of April, with retroactive effect for March. This measure is evaluated at 60 million euros for the community, specifies the Metropolis.

A boost for tourism players

Also in trouble, tourism players will benefit from a postponement of the recovery of the tourist tax payments remaining due for hoteliers and tourism hosts for the year 2019. It will be the same for the first three months of the year 2020. The Metropolis has also planned to pay an exceptional subsidy of 651,206 euros to the Tourist Office "to compensate for the cancellation of the 2020 subscriptions of its members". Namely museums, restaurants, leisure facilities, hotels for which the community is considering other support measures currently in preparation.

Frontline associations and students supported

Students in precariousness will also be helped thanks to an additional envelope of 500,000 euros to the emergency fund created by the Community of universities and establishments bringing together establishments in Lyon and Saint-Etienne. “This will make it possible to provide precarious students with computer equipment with wifi access to fight against the digital divide. This plan would concern 3% of the site's students, or 4,200 students, ”said the city. Associations working on the front line since the start of the health crisis will not be outdone. An envelope of 200,000 euros will be allocated to those who have mobilized to participate in food aid, aid for people infected with Covid-19, victims of domestic violence ... An additional aid of 200,000 euros in total will be paid and finally to the Red Cross, the Secours Catholique, the Secours populaire, the Entraide majolane and the group of social and solidarity grocery stores in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.

RSA cumulative under conditions

In terms of integration, the Métropole is responsible for everything concerning the payment of the RSA. She undertook to maintain the rights of the beneficiaries, of course, but above all to suspend the procedures for reducing or suspending the allowance which were under way. "Nearly 40,000 RSA beneficiaries will be able to keep this subsistence income during the minimum confinement period," says the urban community. Since the start of the health crisis, these beneficiaries have also had the possibility of accumulating the RSA and the income from a professional activity. Are concerned those who worked or work, within the framework of the creation of the platform "Urgence emploi Covid", in the local food production, food distribution, transport and logistics, health and all trades of services to nobody.
