According to the notification of the Propaganda Department of the Huangdao District Committee of Qingdao City, around 14:30 on April 23, a forest fire broke out on the east side of Gushang Village, Lingshanwei Street, Huangdao District, and the west foot of Xiaozhu Mountain. Fire fighting aircraft and more than 70 fire engines participated in the fight. The fire was effectively controlled in the early morning of the 24th, but a resurgence occurred at the peak of Xiaozhu Mountain at noon on the 24th. It was difficult for the personnel to go up and could only rely on the helicopter to fetch water for fire fighting. The forest fire continued to spread.
