Disney plans to launch the production of a new series in the Star Wars universe, centered on one or more female characters. The series will be broadcast on the Disney + video on demand platform. The series "The Mandadorian", also drawn from the universe of star wars, was a success.

Disney is taking advantage of its new platform to make room for women. The animation group continues to exploit the Star Wars vein, with a novelty: highlighting the female characters. It is true that in the Star Wars universe, apart from Princess Leïa or more recently Rey and Finn in the last trilogy, women were little in the spotlight. Disney has chosen to launch a new production for its online video platform, Disney +, which already has 50 million users worldwide.
