“We are starting to observe a drop in the number of people currently hospitalized in the region, whereas there was a plateau around 3,000 hospitalizations since April 4. In detail, hospitalizations, which remained very high in the region for several weeks, rose from 2,970 on Thursday April 16 to 2,760 this Thursday, with decreases observed every day in services. In intensive care, same downward trend, with 483 patients admitted to intensive care or intensive care yesterday against nearly 630 a week ago. Deaths from Covid-19 are now brought to 1,167, 240 more than seven days ago. Not all departments suffered in the same way. The Rhône and Loire remain the areas that have been most severely affected by the virus, with 444 and 166 deaths currently deplored.

The situation is slowly improving in Ehpad
