Jamaan Asiri, the assistant undersecretary for relations and media affairs at the Prophet’s Mosque in Saudi Arabia, announced that Tarawih prayers will be held at the Prophet’s Mosque during the month of Ramadan, but without the presence of worshipers.
Asiri added, in statements to the Saudi MBC channel today: "Tarawih prayers will be held, but the worshipers' comment is still valid until something from the higher authorities takes us, and then we take measures and the mosque is ready."
The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, the head of the Council of Senior Religious Scholars, the general head of scientific research and advisory opinion, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Sheikh, said on Friday, "My prayers for Tarawih and Eid will be in the homes" and that "if Corona continues."
