The "Lionsgate" studio will release four of its films for free over the next four weeks. The cinema screenings will be presented by the famous Jamie Lee Curtis, who will be surrounded by Youtubeurs. During the broadcasting of the films, spectators will be invited to make donations which will be donated to workers in the film industry, who have stopped due to the confinement and spread of the coronavirus.

In these times of confinement, going to the movies is impossible. Even after May 11, the expected date for the start of progressive deconfinement, it will be necessary to wait before going back to the theaters and watching the movies on the big screen. To keep us waiting, the studio "Lionsgate" launched the initiative "Lionsgate Live! A night at the movie". Every Friday, it will be possible to enjoy a cinema screening, presented by Jamie Lee Curtis, who will be surrounded by Youtubeurs, she explains on Instagram.

A charitable initiative

During the broadcasts, spectators are invited to make donations for the benefit of the "Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation", dedicated to helping people working in the film industry and to providing financial assistance to theater workers who are victims of the Covid-19 crisis.

The first film to be released will be the first installment of the Hunger Games saga  with Jennifer Lawrence, this Friday, April 17. The cult Dirty Dancing  will go online on April 24, followed by the world-famous musical La La Land on May 1 and the action film John Wick the following week. Be careful however, the initiative being American, the films will be available only around three in the morning on Saturday.
