China News Service, April 16 (Xinhua) According to the WeChat public account of the Foshan Municipal Health Bureau of Guangdong, Foshan City reported one new confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia on April 15, 2020 from 0:00 to 24:00. One new case was discharged.
As of 24 o'clock on April 15th, Foshan City has reported a total of 98 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia. Of the 98 confirmed cases, 86 were cured and discharged, and 12 were treated in hospital. 13 cases of asymptomatic infection are still under medical observation.
The newly confirmed cases are as follows:
A 30-year-old female patient from Guangdong, China currently lives in Dali Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City. An epidemiological investigation revealed that the patient had recently been in contact with foreigners.
On April 12, the patient went to a designated place for health observation.
On April 13, the Nanhai District Center for Disease Control reported that the patient's new coronavirus nucleic acid test was positive, and was transferred to the Fourth People's Hospital of Foshan City for isolation treatment.
On April 14, the city CDC completed the review, and the nucleic acid test result of the new crown virus was also positive.
On April 15, after consultation with the expert group, combined with the patient's epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and chest imaging examination results, a diagnosis of new coronary pneumonia was confirmed. The patient is currently in stable condition.
A total of 2 close contacts have been screened, and medical observations have been isolated. The disease control department has carried out terminal disinfection on the patient's residence and other relevant places.
