A police check in Nantes, March 18, 2020 - S. Salom Gomis / SIPA

The Easter weekend was not an easy one for the police, mobilized to enforce the rules of confinement. In Vannes, police bikers were thus taken to task on Sunday afternoon by a 57-year-old man, reports Ouest-France. At around 5.30 p.m., the individual stood out by flashing a red light in front of the police. The latter then signaled him to stop but the individual fled.

Chased, the driver tried to overthrow the police by reversing before leaving again. He was finally intercepted a little further with the help of reinforcements.

The 50-year-old rebelled, verbally insulting the police and spitting on them, claiming to be carrying the Covid-19. He has been placed in police custody pending possible legal proceedings.
