Eight new cases were cured and discharged, including 3 cases from Italy, 2 cases from Spain, 2 cases from the United Kingdom and 1 case from the United States.

Cases 1 to 9 are all Chinese nationals. They took the same flight, departed from Russia on April 10, and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on the same day. Due to symptoms, they were sent to a designated medical institution for observation. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., were diagnosed as confirmed cases.

Case 10 is of Chinese nationality and works in the United States. He departed from the United States on April 9 and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on the same day. After entering the border, he was isolated and observed. Symptoms appeared during the period. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., were diagnosed as confirmed cases.

Case 11 is of Chinese nationality. He studied in the UK. He departed from the UK on April 11 and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on the same day. Due to symptoms, he was sent to a designated medical institution for observation. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., were diagnosed as confirmed cases.

All 11 imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 90 people who have been in close contact with the flight have been tracked. All have been centralized and isolated.

From 0 to 24:00 on April 12, there were no new confirmed cases of local new coronary pneumonia.

As of 24:00 on April 12, a total of 279 confirmed imported cases were reported overseas, 118 cases were cured and discharged, and 161 cases were treated in hospital (including 1 critical case). There are 36 suspected cases to be investigated.
