[Same period] Xie Lihui, customs officer of Capital Airport, which belongs to Beijing Customs

My post is the health and quarantine work, and it is my duty to do the health and quarantine of passengers entering and leaving the country. Therefore, I should stand up and do my best to prevent and control infectious diseases, and then do it well.

[Commentary] The person in the picture is Xie Lihui, a customs officer at the Beijing Capital Airport. After the outbreak of the New Coronary Pneumonia, she had not returned to her hometown in three years, and resolutely returned her ticket to the hometown for the New Year and returned to her post. Recently, Xie Lihui told reporters in an interview that her main job is to conduct epidemiological investigations and medical investigations of abnormal passengers at the Capital Airport. On January 23, a male passenger passed the temperature measurement channel and reported the alarm with a thermometer. Xie Lihui, who was inspecting, immediately stepped forward to ask about the situation.

I asked him where he came from. He said that he came from Wuhan. Then he must pay close attention to it. Then I took him to the inspection room for investigation. During the investigation, he said that he had no other discomforts. He just said that he felt a little cold on the train. In fact, he still had a fever. During the investigation, I heard that he wanted to cough the kind he wanted to control and then coughed twice. I judged that his risk of infection was relatively high, because he met all the conditions at the same time.

[Explanation] After judging that the passengers are at risk of infection, Xie Lihui immediately reported the situation and started the transfer process. Three days later, the passenger was diagnosed as a patient with new coronary pneumonia, and this was also the first confirmed case detected at the airport and platoons across the country.

[Explanation] As the overseas epidemic situation continues to spread, the focus of customs epidemic prevention and control has changed from "anti-export" to "anti-import", and more and more passengers need to focus on it. Xie Lihui often has to wear protective clothing for more than ten hours of continuous work before taking a short break. Tight protective equipment is suffocating, but she and her colleagues still clenched their teeth.

Very stunned, especially stunned. In addition, if the heating in the terminal building is relatively sufficient, it will be particularly hot and keep sweating. And after a long period of communication with the passengers, the voice is really unbearable. Then you can't swallow directly after drinking water. If you want to take off (halfway), you have to wear another set. And you take a long time to take off and wear you. Even we don't have the heart to let passengers wait so long, so we try to stick to it.

[Commentary] Whenever he heard the gratitude of the passengers, Xie Lihui felt that everything was worth it. In her work, she also explored the tips of "fluency" to narrow the distance to the passengers in the form of chat, so as to obtain more effective answers.

If you ask a traveler if you have been exposed to a patient with fever or respiratory symptoms, he may not quite understand what this is, and you cannot get (information) specifically because he may tell you "no" directly. For example, some international students, I asked him when did you last go to our country (foreign) to go to school from our country? Have n’t you been in school recently? Do you live in a host family or live in a dormitory by yourself? Chat with them step by step, after you make a judgment based on his answer, and then ask the next step to understand some of the situations he is most likely to contact. You can also appease the more anxious mood of these travelers.

[Commentary] At the end of March, Xie Lihui turned to Xi'an Xianyang International Airport for support. Here, as one of the first entry points for international departure passenger flights to Beijing, he took on the task of diversion. Xie Lihui said that the current port health and quarantine task is still very arduous, and he will do his utmost to strictly control the country and guard the hard-won anti-epidemic results.

I think our work is quite sacred, because when you think about it in the early stage, everyone from all over the country was working together to fight against the "epidemic disease", and only then can you achieve the results of an epidemic prevention and control. On the "anti-input" side, we will do our utmost to make it well and pass the gate of the country.
