Ibaraki Prefecture and Mito City on Tuesday announced that nine new men and women were infected with the new coronavirus, killing one known male patient in their 90s.
Of these, women in their 50s are teachers at a compulsory education school in Tsuchiura City, and men in their 30s in Mito are firefighters. With this, 91 people were confirmed infected in the prefecture and three people died.
