While there are no foods completely devoid of calories, there are foods that you can enjoy eating freely without worrying about gaining extra pounds.


According to Nutritionist Dr. Lisa Young, these foods generally fall into one of two categories: non-starchy fruits or vegetables.

Young says there are reasons not to gain weight from eating these foods:


Most of them consist of water.


Low calories.


It contains fibers, which helps you feel full and stay full.


Although these fruits and vegetables are not rich in protein, they are full of many vitamins, antioxidants and other nutrients that have many health benefits.

Among these foods:


- Lettuce:


Most types of lettuce contain about 10 to 2 calories per serving. Although lettuce will not add much protein to your diet, it will add many vitamins and nutrients such as folic acid, iron, and vitamins A and C.


Orange:


Most people know that oranges are rich in vitamin C, but citrus fruits have many other benefits.


Since vitamin C is important in collagen production, oranges help keep skin free from damage and look good. It is also low in calories, as a medium-sized orange bean contains only about 80 calories.

And if you do not eat that white shell that covers the fruit, you should start eating it, as it contains a lot of fiber, which helps to reduce the levels of cholesterol and sugar in the blood.

Celery:


About 95% of celery is made of water, but this does not mean that these vegetables have no major health benefits.


Celery contains potassium, folate and fiber, and 30% of your daily needs of vitamin E, and provides only six calories in one meal.


Celery is best eaten when it is fresh, as these vegetables lose many of their antioxidants within five to seven days of purchasing them.


- Blueberry:


This fruit is known to contain more antioxidants than any other fruit, and to obtain fiber, a cup of blueberries contains 14% of the recommended daily value, and provides only about 85 calories.


- Option:


It is a fruit made mostly of water, and contains only 16 calories per serving, while seeds and shells contain most of the nutritional value of the fruit, so it is best not to peel it.


Dandruff and seeds provide both fiber and a form of vitamin A known as "beta-carotene", which is known to be good for the eyes.


- tomatoes:


Tomatoes are known to contain lycopene, which is a carotene that helps fight chronic diseases and gives the fruit its red color.


Besides lycopene, tomatoes contain a high content of vitamins A, C and B2, as well as folate, chromium, potassium and fiber.


And with all the nutrients, a medium sized tomato bean contains only about 25 calories.
