Margaux Baralon, the series specialist on Europe 1, has selected three new products to watch on television during confinement.

You have finally finished all the seasons of Game of Thrones , you have "binge-watché" the fourth season of Casa de Papel released earlier this week… and now, which series are you going to watch? Margaux Baralon, the series specialist for Europe 1, has chosen three new series to discover during confinement in replay or on video on demand platforms.

Determined women

Three women, who live in the same house, at three different times - in the 60s, 80s and nowadays - and who all come to kill their husbands ... But why do women kill? This is the challenge of the Why women kil l series, broadcast on Thursday evening on M6 and available for replay.

This series is a piece of black humor, with very funny chiseled dialogues. There is also a real reflection on the condition of women through the ages. The creator of the series is none other than Marc Cherry, to whom we also owe the cult series Desperate Housewives . And we find in Why women kill everything that made the salt of the first series. And in particular its very colorful female characters, who seem a bit caricatured at first but which prove to be much more complex.

A surprising woman

On Netflix, you can discover a mini German series of 4 episodes: Unorthodox . The story is about Esty, a young woman who lives in New York, in a Hasidic community. These Orthodox Jews live in autarky, cut off from the modern world, without smartphone or computer, and follow very strict rules of life, especially for women who do not have the right to do much, except children.

The series begins with Esty's escape, which dismisses everything. She leaves her husband and family and flees to Berlin, Germany. Her husband and a cousin set off in pursuit, determined to bring her back to New York.

In addition to its thriller side, the series questions the relationship to faith and belonging to a clan, avoiding caricature. The characters are all very thorough and gain in thickness over the episodes. It is also an opportunity to find out more about this little known Hasidic community: we learn that most of its members are descendants of victims of the Holocaust.

The entire scenario of this series is based on a true story, taken from an autobiographical book. And if you want to learn more about this story and the reconstruction work for the series, Netflix also offers a 20-minute documentary.

A cute and already cult "baby"

The Disney + platform was eagerly awaited by many confined children and adults. With its arrival in France on Tuesday April 7, Star Wars fans could discover the series inspired by the universe of the galactic saga: The Mandalorian . A slightly uneven series but which is nevertheless worth seeing.

You will be surprised by this series which takes up the Star Wars universe but with completely different characters. No Skywalker, no Jedi, or even Force - at the beginning anyway ... The main character, Mando, is a bounty hunter whose little we know but whose adventures we will follow.

In this series, there is no question of saving the galaxy. The style is closer to classic westerns with a main character that makes us think of a lonely cowboy. The western side is also seen in the sets and the music, halfway between the score of John Williams, the composer of the soundtrack of the Star Wars saga, and that of Ennio Morricone, composer of the music of a great number of westerns.

Finally, you can discover "Baby Yoda". This cute and already cult little character.
