In the space of 48 hours, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Paca has registered 672 new confirmed cases of new coronavirus in the region and 38 additional deaths, according to a count published this Wednesday evening.
In total, since February 28, 9,306 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, where the organization has counted 269 deaths. Currently, 1,812 infected people are hospitalized, including 437 in intensive care.
The department of Bouches-du-Rhône pays the heaviest toll of the disease with 144 deaths. Then follow the Alpes-Maritimes (56), the Var (44), the Vaucluse (19), the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (4) and the Hautes-Alpes (2).
