This year's bar exam is scheduled for next month at eight venues in seven cities, including Tokyo and Osaka, with 4,226 applicants.

Preliminary examinations, which qualify for the bar exam even if they have not completed law school, will be held from next month to October, with 15,318 applicants.

However, with the spread of the new coronavirus nationwide, the Justice Trial Commission of the Ministry of Justice has decided to postpone this year's bar and preliminary tests on the 8th.

The timing and place of the new implementation after the postponement is undecided, and the Ministry of Justice will publish it on its website as soon as it is decided.
