The Jordanian Society of Genetic Engineers said that it developed the first test strips for the discovery of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19) at the regional level, noting that the slides were tested yesterday in the central laboratories of the Jordanian Ministry of Health and have proven successful.
The association clarified - in a statement published yesterday on its account on Facebook - that the new discovery, which was called jo cov19, "shortens the examination period to a quarter while showing accurate results." And the advantages of global superiority (slides) ».
The association added that "the discovery will allow 10 times the examinations currently performed in the Ministry of Health and will enable the ministry to complete the association's proposal on the mobile laboratory that will accompany the epidemiological investigation teams," noting that it has developed a design for the mobile laboratory and is ready to apply it on the ground to be the first mobile laboratory used Corona pandemic worldwide.
The association confirmed that another team is currently working on developing the mechanism of treatment through blood plasma for the recovered people, and its details will be announced soon.
