After two months of careful treatment, the critically ill panda "Mao Tao" in Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base has now returned to health and can eat and drink.

On February 8th, the giant panda "Mao Tao" suddenly experienced severe vomiting in the case of loss of appetite. The vomit was a mixture of foamy liquid and food debris. After discovering that "Mao Tao" was in serious condition, the veterinary team at Panda Base immediately conducted a post-anaesthesia examination and found that the "Mao Tao" duodenum was obstructed by the pyloric intestine.

In view of the critical condition of "Mao Tao", the veterinary team of Panda Base took out the edible bamboo food mass that was blocked in the body for the surgical treatment of duodenal obstruction of "Mao Tao". After the operation, "Mao Tao" suffered a shock. After 36 hours of continuous treatment, "Mao Tao" finally released the safety warning and woke up safely.

The current "Mao Peach" has basically returned to health, and the food has been changed from the initial bamboo powder and nutrient solution to the current bamboo shoots.
