The tenor Andrea Bocelli - Marco Provvisionato / IPA / STARFACE

As millions of Christians prepare not to celebrate Easter in church, because of the Coronavirus pandemic, Andrea Bocelli has found a solution to honor this religious holiday. The tenor will perform at the Dome of Milan this Sunday, April 13 at 7 p.m., for a concert which will be broadcast live on his YouTube channel. The performance is called Bocelli: music for hope and will be made up of classics from the Catholic liturgical repertoire.

The virtuoso will be accompanied by Emanuele Vianelli, the organist of the cathedral, and, of course, the concert will take place behind closed doors, informs Variety.

The holding of this concert is made possible by the competition of the city of Milan, Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, Sugar Music, Universal Music Group, and YouTube. In addition, Andrea Bocelli has declared that he will not claim a fee for his performance.
