Opposition women on Wednesday called on the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to receive appropriate consideration, saying that pregnant women are worried about the spread of the new coronavirus.
Members of the National Democratic Party of Japan, Mr. Yako Waita, submitted a request to the self-governing secretary of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
The request requires that pregnant women be informed that pneumonia is at high risk of becoming more severe.
It also states that if a pregnant woman wants to work from home or take leave, the business should be obliged to do so.
