In complete isolation from the outside and in the absence of visitors, a couple of panda bears at a zoo in Hong Kong decided to take advantage of this intimate atmosphere for mating after 10 years of failed attempts.

As with half of the globe's population, panda bears "Yingying" and "Li Li" live in forced isolation due to the measures adopted to combat the outbreak of the new Corona virus, including closing the park they live in front of visitors. Like other couples in the world, this pair is trying to take advantage of the long free time available to them.

"Since Ying Ying and Li Li arrived in Hong Kong in 2007, their attempt to marry them has never succeeded," said Michael Boss, head of Hong Kong's Ocean Park in Hong Kong.
The life expectancy of these animals ranges between 15 and 20 years in nature, but they can live up to the age of 30 in captivity, according to the World Wide Fund for Nature.
Experts will now monitor Yingying to monitor any pregnancy signal, but this task may take a long time as the gestation period in giant pandas ranges between 72 days and 324.
