Sharjah Radio and Television Authority announced the Ramadan program cycle through a press conference held remotely through the application of "Zoom", in line with the State's directives in implementing the physical spacing policy to confront the emerging corona virus "Covid 19". During the meeting, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, the General Director of the Authority, Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, and directors of channels and broadcasts, spoke in an electronic video call, which gathered nearly 30 media professionals from inside and outside the country.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi said: "Today's media is the constant companion of people in their homes, and the only window is not on the distant world as it was before the new Corona virus crisis, but also the relative, and that the duty of the media at this stage is to be on the side of society more As ever, it guides them towards the right practices and gives hope to them. " He noted that the UAE media has proven that it is a true partner at all times and will remain supportive of the development process, and will now be a true partner in overcoming this challenge, wishing to overcome it with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
And Muhammad Hassan Khalaf talked about the responsibility of the media, which is multiplied in light of crises, and the increased need of society for it, stressing that they remain when people trust and work hard to achieve this goal, especially in light of the current time. Khalaf praised the media's commitment to the ethics of the profession, reviewing the new program cycle that is characterized by diversity and complementarity, pointing out that the current period and commitment to the policy of divergence and non-assembly have undoubtedly affected some programs, including the "breakfast cannon" that will be absent in the next Ramadan, noting that the early preparation of the majority Programs to be presented during the fasting month contributed to maintaining a large percentage of the programs that were intended for Ramadan. He also pointed out that the low budget allocated to programs due to this crisis led them to increase the value of financial prizes in the programs of competitions to be presented.
The directors of the TV stations affiliated with the authority, Sharjah TV, Al Wasatiya, and Al Sharqiya TV talked about each of the programs on the schedule for the blessed month of Ramadan for this year, in addition to their presentation of Sharjah Radio programs. The TV course on Sharjah TV includes six different programs between cooking, health and competitions, in addition to the drama series, including "Mohamed Ali Roud", the series "Memory of the Shadow" and "Qandil Al-Hekaya". While Al-Wusta TV channel from Al Dhaid offers a group of programs that narrate the historical heritage, and it shows Bedouin series, including "The Winds of Poisons" and "Darb Al Shahama". As for Al Sharqiya channel, it will show Kuwaiti series, including "Haya and Her Daughters" and "Bayt Bayt".
